Western Defense Chiefs Reject Russian Claims That Ukraine Is Preparing To Detonate A “Dirty Bomb”

Politico: West rejects Russia’s ‘dirty bomb’ claim as Moscow activates counter-WMD forces

The comments came as Russia put forces on alert on Monday to respond to a potential chemical, biological or nuclear weapons attack.

Western defense chiefs are rejecting Russian claims over the weekend that Ukraine is preparing to detonate a “dirty bomb” on its own territory, warning that Moscow may use the “false” accusation as a pretext to escalate the conflict.

WNU Editor: I mentioned weeks before before this story first erupted that I would not be surprised if there are some people in Kyiv who have been pondering the idea of using "dirty bombs" to gain a political and military advantage in this war. They have the resources and knowledge to build one (or more), and there are some who will have no problem in detonating one in Moscow or any other major Russian city, even if it would mean a massive Russian nuclear retaliation against Ukraine and its allies in the West.

This is why Western leaders should not readily dismiss Kremlin concerns that Ukraine may conduct a false flag event using a nuclear "dirty" bomb. Zelensky himself has always been talking about nuclear weapons .... even before the war started. But considering the situation, it is understandable that Western leaders cannot come out and say that Ukraine possesses nuclear weapons, albeit with low yields. Western public reaction would be overwhelmingly negative, and it there would be a push to reign in Kyiv, maybe even forcing it to end the war. But the message has been given by the Kremlin, and I am sure that some in the West are warning Kyiv to not go down this road and prove Putin right.
