U.S. Officials Say Iran Has Agreed To Missiles As Well As Drones To Russia

Reuters: Iran agrees to supply missiles as well as drones to Russia  

Defence secretary Ben Wallace flies to Washington to discuss dangerous new phase in invasion of Ukraine 

Iran has deepened its commitment to supplying arms for Russia’s assault on Ukraine by agreeing to provide a batch of medium-range missiles, as well as large numbers of cheap but effective drones, according to US and Iranian security officials. 

The surface-to-surface missiles are designed to supplement the severely run-down stock of Russian missiles, as part of a bid to systematically destroy Ukraine’s electricity infrastructure ahead of a brutal winter. 

The UK defence secretary, Ben Wallace, flew to Washington at short notice to discuss the dangerous new phase in the war, share intelligence on Iran’s involvement and discuss what package of new air defence can be provided to Ukraine to help the nation stave off the attacks.

WNU Editor: The problem with all of these media reports of Iran supplying missiles and drones to Russia is that the Pentagon cannot confirm them .... Pentagon Says Can't Confirm Reports of Iranian Missiles to Russia (Reuters). 

As to what is my take. 

I do not know if Iran is supplying drones and missiles to Russia. But I do know that many of the drones that have been labelled as Iranian, including the drone above, are very similar to the suicide drones that Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov has been manufacturing for years (see link and video below) .... Four Eastern European Countries Expel Russian Diplomats

Copyright RAIGO PAJULA / AFP, FILE   RFE: Bulgaria Expels 10 Russian Diplomats, Baltics Follow Suit With Another 10 Expulsions   Bulgaria is expelling 10 Russian diplomats saying they were carrying out activities deemed incompatible with their diplomatic status, a move followed up quickly by the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.  The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on March 18 that it had given the 10 diplomats 72 hours to leave. The statement did not give a more detailed reason for the expulsions, but since Russia launched its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, the Russian ambassador in Sofia has repeatedly made contradictory statements about Bulgaria's position on the conflict.
