WNU Editor: The media narrative is that the police chief is resigning because of bullying, and volatile behavior behind closed doors. My gut is telling me something else. That he is resigning because he does not want to implement the measures that the city and federal government now want to impose under the "Emergency Act", and the powers that be want him gone.

His failure in having his fellow police officers move forcibly against the protesters also surprised his political bosses, and they need someone else to make sure this does not happen.

On a side note. Ottawa's police department has an exemption to the Covid-19 vaccine mandate.
