U.S. Marines Sink Second Drug-Trafficking Refueling Vessel in 2 Days in Eastern Pacific

U.S. Marines and sailors operating from the U.S. Navy’s San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio sank a second floating refueling vessel linked to Ecuador’s Los Choneros organized crime and drug-trafficking network in the Eastern Pacific, U.S. Southern Command reported after the September 3, 2026 operation with Ecuador.
