Gentex Develops PURSUIT Fixed-Wing Helmet to Reduce Aircrew Strain and Support Modular Upgrades

Gentex has developed the PURSUIT Next Generation Fixed Wing Helmet to reduce headborne weight while integrating multiple mission configurations into a single modular system. The design is intended to limit aircrew fatigue and simplify equipment management as helmet-mounted displays and night vision systems place greater physical demands on pilots. PURSUIT combines a lightweight carbon shell with an optimised centre of gravity, enhanced rear retention design and four helmet sizes intended to fit more than 99% of aircrew. Its Modular Open System Approach supports the integration of current and future helmet-mounted displays, communications equipment and optical or respiratory protection, allowing operators to adapt the same helmet architecture as mission requirements and aircraft systems evolve.
