I Have Temporarily Closed The Comments Section For WNU

WNU Editor: Google has advised all Blogger Users (that includes War News Updates) that due to the war in Ukraine, Google will pause monetisation of content that exploits, dismisses or condones the war. 

This pause includes, but is not limited to, claims that imply victims are responsible for their own tragedy or similar instances of victim blaming, such as claims that Ukraine is committing genocide or deliberately attacking its own citizens. 

I follow Google's policies religiously, and most of the comments that are posted on this blog meet Google's guidelines and policies. Unfortunately, some do not, and while I am always deleting these offensive comments they are putting at risk WNU's standing when it comes to Google's policies. 

I do not care about the monetization part. The purpose of this blog has never been to make money. But I do care that Google may decide to close the site because of the comments section. 

So effectively immediately, and with great regret, I have suspended the comments section for WNU. 

This is a temporary measure based solely on what is happening in Ukraine. Once the war is over, the comments section will be restored.
