Russia's upgraded nuclear battlecruiser Admiral Nakhimov returns to sea for first time since 1997

On August 18, 2025, TASS announced that the Project 1144.2M battlecruiser Admiral Nakhimov had officially left Severodvinsk to begin shipbuilder sea trials after decades of inactivity and a prolonged modernization process.
