Greece deploys Psara frigate to Cyprus to counter Iranian drones with electronic warfare instead of missiles

The Greek Navy deployed the Psara frigate to Cyprus in March 2026 following a drone attack near RAF Akrotiri. The vessel is equipped with the Centauros electronic warfare system to counter low-altitude Iranian UAVs.
