Canada is considering splitting its planned purchase of 12 diesel-electric submarines equally between Germany’s TKMS Type 212CD and South Korea’s Hanwha Ocean KSS-III Batch-II proposals. The option would allocate six submarines from each supplier under the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project to replace the Victoria-class fleet.
