Türkiye Enters Negotiation Phase with Eurofighter After Consortium Proposal

Türkiye is at a critical juncture in its military aviation strategy, with the country's defense industry carefully evaluating an alternative proposal from a consortium of aerospace giants to acquire Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets. The consortium, composed of Airbus SE, BAE Systems Plc, and Leonardo SpA, is in talks with Türkiye after the country was left without access to the U.S.-made F-35 fighter jets due to political tensions.
