Update #1: Failures in Ukraine haven't left 'cracks' in Putin's hold on power, German spy chief says, warning Russia has what it needs to wage a long war (Insider)

Update #2: Russia still capable of waging protracted war, no cracks visible in Putin’s system – German intel (Euromaidan Press)

How long?

A few days ago the head of The Wagner Group Yevgeny Prigozhin said it was going to take up to one to one and a half years before Ukraine forces are defeated in the Donbas. Other Russian pundits are saying that because the Kremlin is waging an attrition war against Ukraine (and the West), the war is going to take 3 to 4 years.

As to what is my take.

Last year I said the war was going to last into the final months of 2024.  I am now going to revise it to the spring of 2025.
