The U.S. Navy is moving to weaponize artificial intelligence within its submarine shipbuilding sector with the rollout of ShipOS (Shipbuilding Operating System), a new AI-driven production management system designed to speed the construction of Columbia-class ballistic missile submarines and Virginia-class attack submarines, as the United States faces mounting naval pressure from China.
