Taipei, Taiwan, July 13, 2024 — Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense has reported a significant increase in military activity by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) around the island. As of 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today, 30 PLA (Chinese Air Force) aircraft and 7 PLAN (Chinese Navy) vessels were detected operating in the vicinity of Taiwan.
