US DoD issues report on Chinese efforts to build military power

On October 19, 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense issued an extensive report detailing how the People's Republic of China is continuing its efforts to overturn the international rules-based order and is building an increasingly effective military to further these aims, said a senior defense official speaking on background. Jim Garamone summarizes.
