U.S. Office Of The Director of National Intelligence To Set Up A Clearinghouse To Combat Hostile Foreign Meddling

Politico: Intelligence community creating hub to gird against foreign influence 

The center will be a clearinghouse for intelligence related to malign influence from multiple government agencies and provide assessments and warning of such activities. 

The nation’s top spy agency has begun work to establish a hub to combat hostile foreign meddling in U.S. affairs, following multiple assessments that Russia and other countries have sought to sway elections and sow chaos among the American people.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence will create the Foreign Malign Influence Center “in light of evolving threats and in support of growing policy and congressional requirements,” an agency spokesperson said Monday in a statement to POLITICO. 

The center will be a clearinghouse for intelligence related to malign influence from multiple government agencies and provide assessments and warning of such activities.

Makes me wonder on what the US intelligence community has been doing for the past few decades that they must now have this new department to confront something that has been ongoing for as long as I can remember.

US-built first Saudi MMSC frigate HMS Saud launched at Fincantieri’s shipyard

According to information published by the Saudi Ministry of Defense on December 18, 2025, the first Multi-Mission Surface Combatant frigate constructed in the United States for the Royal Saudi Navy has been officially launched at Fincantieri Marinette Marine’s shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin. The ship, designated HMS Saud with pennant number 820 and also known as Jalalat Al-Malik Saud in honor of King Saud, is the lead vessel in a four-ship program ordered under Project Tuwaiq through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales framework, a deal that defense officials have repeatedly described as a cornerstone of bilateral naval cooperation.
