Northrop Grumman’s new Project Talon drone aims to change how U.S. fighters go to war

Northrop Grumman has introduced Project Talon as its new autonomous wingman offering, positioning the aircraft as a low-observable, rapidly built teammate for U.S. and allied fighters. Unveiled at Mojave Air and Space Port and developed with subsidiary Scaled Composites, the uncrewed jet is pitched as a Collaborative Combat Aircraft that balances capability with aggressive cost and schedule targets, after the company missed out on the first round of the U.S. Air Force CCA awards.
