According to information published by Lockheed Martin on June 16, 2025, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control has secured a new contract through the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program to deliver Generation 4 Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (Gen 4 TADS/PNVS) systems for the Polish Armed Forces. These advanced electro-optical sensors will equip the AH-64E Apache attack helicopters recently ordered by Poland, providing extended-range target acquisition, precision strike capability, and superior night piloting features. This configuration includes the Common Sensor Electronics Unit and Gen 2 Turret as standard, marking the most advanced targeting suite ever fielded on the Apache platform. The contract also enables the establishment of a Special Repair Activity facility at WZL1 in Łódź to locally support maintenance and sustainment operations. As reported by ZonaJakarta on June 17, 2025, during a press conference held at the 67th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) at Kuantan Air Base by General Tan Sri Asghar Khan Goriman Khan, Chief of the RMAF, confirmed that the United States has approved Malaysia’s request to acquire up to 33 used F/A-18C and F/A-18D Hornet fighter jets from the Kuwait Air Force, following extended discussions that began as early as 2017. The U.S. authorization complies with the Arms Export Control Act, which requires Congressional approval for any third-party transfer of American-made defense equipment.  Read full defense news at this link... At the IndoDefence 2025 exhibition, Indonesian company PT Industri Ketahanan Nasional (IKN) presents the First Win Armored Fighting Vehicle (AFV), developed in collaboration with Thailand’s Chaiseri. The vehicle is currently under prototype production in Indonesia, with the certification process ongoing at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia. Prior to this event, on January 13, 2025, the Indonesian Defense Attaché visited Chaiseri’s facility in Thailand, where the First Win AFV was shown to the Indonesian delegation as part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral defense cooperation.  Read full defense news at this link...
